Meet the Manager
Samantha Harrison-Coe

When I joined South Cambs & Villages VIP Day Centre, I didn’t just see a day centre I saw endless possibilities.

I saw the opportunity to create somewhere people genuinely look forward to coming. A place filled with laughter, friendship, purpose and kindness, where every person feels valued, respected and part of something special.

Care has always been my passion, but for me it’s about so much more than meeting people’s needs. It’s about helping people continue to live fulfilling lives, make new memories, discover new interests and remain connected to the community around them.

Since becoming Centre Care Manager, I’ve been on a mission to breathe new life into the centre. I’ve been building relationships with local organisations, GPs, community groups, libraries, transport providers and businesses to create new opportunities for our members and make sure more people know the support that’s available.

I’m always looking for new ideas. Whether it’s introducing exciting activities, securing funding for projects, welcoming community groups into the centre or simply sitting down for a chat over a cup of tea, I believe it’s the little things that often make the biggest difference.

My vision is simple.

I don’t want South Cambs & Villages VIP Day Centre to be known as just another day centre.

I want it to be known as a place where people belong.

A place where people make friends, discover new hobbies, enjoy meaningful days and leave with a smile on their face. A place where families know their loved ones are safe, happy and genuinely cared for, giving them the confidence and peace of mind they deserve.

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I like to keep busy! I’m always looking for new opportunities, building partnerships and finding ways to make the centre even better for our members. I believe no idea is too small if it has the potential to make someone’s day a little brighter.

If you’re considering a day centre for yourself or someone you care about, I’d love to invite you in. Come and meet the team, enjoy a cup of tea, have a look around and experience the warm, welcoming atmosphere for yourself.

You might just find exactly what you’ve been looking for.

The staff create a lively and welcoming atmosphere for our members, which is crucial for providing support. It ensures a safe and comforting environment where people can relax and build friendships.

At VIP South Cambs & Villages, the staff understand that it’s not just about the activities at the centre but also about how visitors are made to feel when they arrive. The positive experiences and interactions members have here are what they remember and associate with the day centre once they leave.

Our staff are warm and friendly, and they genuinely enjoy being here. They are passionate about their work and go above and beyond to ensure our members receive care and have a fantastic time during their visit.

The team creates a delightful environment at the day centre. As a recent visitor said, “You can tell a lot about a place in the first 15 seconds. This day centre is friendly and inviting.” This results from having a dedicated team working towards the same goal.

Finding the VIP Centre has been, for both of us, a ‘life saver.’ always have a really warm welcome from very professional, caring staff. VIP to us is a very important place – a real refuge and respite for the carer. The service is essential.

Mrs L

I would definitely recommend the VIP Day Centre, I was able to experience for myself through having my placement there how friendly, welcoming and supportive the staff are. How they are there throughout the day encouraging members to stay motivated and join in with all the activities such as board games, quizzes etc.
