Our Story

Our CEO Natalie had been working in various care settings over the course of 20 years, supporting people living with dementia, sensory impairments and disabilities when a family member became ill with dementia. Her grandmother needed 24-hour support but did not want to go into a residential care setting, and Natalie realised that there was very little affordable support in the area to enable her to remain at home. Although paying for domiciliary care ensured her grandmother was safe, it was very expensive, and she would still be left socially isolated from her friends and her community. Together with knowledge from her own personal experience that caring for a family member is often exhausting, Natalie became convinced that there was a much-needed call for more support in the area for people living with dementia and their families, especially with many Local Authority Day Centres having been closed down due to lack of funding.

Following specialist dementia training, Natalie developed her idea of a sustainable day care business model with the aim of providing high-quality care to individuals to live well with all types of dementia, and VIP Day Centre was born.

VIP Day Centre has now been open 5 days a week for since 2014 and expanded into two locations, which has created 14 full-time staff positions.

Our Centres are designed to value individual people and offer as much support as they need to take part in activities of choice that will improve their quality of life, delay the further deterioration of physical and mental health, and ensure people have a positive and fulfilling experience.

We aim to ensure our care is personalised to the needs of the individual through person-centred care plans and that individuals are at the heart of the decision-making process for the service they receive. We work together with local services and agencies to support people in a holistic way and are dedicated to promoting the independence, well-being, dignity and peace of mind of all our members while striving to meet all language and cultural needs.

Our centres provide constant supervision in an exceptionally caring environment through fully trained, knowledgeable & compassionate staff. They can support with medication, monitor food and fluid intake, carry out risk enablement assessments, and book appointments.

Our activities are based on whatever each individual would like to do and achieve, with a wide range available, including craft and artwork, beauty therapy, gardening, cooking, golf putting, bowls, dancing and singing. Relaxation sessions, games, puzzles, computer sessions, reminiscence and sensory sessions provide mental stimulation, while exercise sessions provide physical stimulation both indoors and outdoors.

VIP Day Centres is going from strength to strength. Feedback from our members and their families shows the vital role we play in improving their quality of life, and our work has been recognised with awards from the International Dementia Awards, National Dementia Awards, Worcester University, Social Care Awards, Best in Business Awards, Midlands Enterprise Awards, Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Awards, and the Great British Care Awards.
Natalie holds Level 5 in both Health and Social Care and Business Management and is a member of the local Dementia Action Alliance, and has been a judge at the Great British Care Awards.

VIP Day Centres have now launched franchise opportunities for others to share in Natalie’s vision of offering everyone in the UK access to affordable, top-quality daycare.

What an amazing team. After a disastrous experience mum had in respite …. the team at VIP have opened my eyes to what true caring, respect and understanding is for members with dementia. Thank you for welcoming my nervous mum into your care. She had a great day and you have my overwhelming support and respect for the service you provide. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This centre has changed my parents lives. They love coming here. Mum said she feels so looked after and doesn’t want to come home, and my dad says he has so much fun joining in with the activities. The staff do an amazing job and I can whole heartedly say that this centre is exactly what my parents need: social interaction, activities, kind staff and a really well organised team. Thank you for everything you do.

I really enjoy attending the centre as they are very kind, passionate, loving and extremely helpful. Everyone is very patient, I love going. VIP Day Centre is better than sliced bread!

The VIP Day Centre is a lifeline to P’s family. We wouldn’t manage without it. P is happy to come and is treated with dignity and respect. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services.

I would like to take this time to thank the staff at VIP Day Centre. My husband has been visiting them twice a week since March 2018 upon release from hospital. Initially he was reluctant to attend but was made to feel at home and quickly got involved in the activities. His mental health and well being has improved which we feel is due to his 2 days with the staff at the day centre. Thank you to everyone involved with this service, it is much appreciated.

Staff moral is high and they really do care. They deserve any awards that they have been nominated for.

I would definitely recommend the VIP Day Centre, I was able to experience for myself through having my placement there how friendly, welcoming and supportive the staff are. How they are there throughout the day encouraging members to stay motivated and join in with all the activities such as board games, quizzes etc.

Finding the VIP Centre has been, for both of us, a ‘life saver.’ always have a really warm welcome from very professional, caring staff. VIP to us is a very important place – a real refuge and respite for the carer. The service is essential.

They also have people that come in with all kinds of activities including exercise classes, dance groups, arts and crafts, music and also a local beautician. The centre is very welcoming and sociable, it offers a great day for the people that attend and allows them to also be able to socialise with new people and gain some good friends.

I would like to thank the staff who are so understanding and helpful. Everyone is made welcome and the atmosphere is so warm for everyone when they walk in. I couldn’t ask for more, well done VIP.

After becoming aware of how expensive and inadequate dementia care facilities can be, trained dementia specialist Natalie Allcock realised that there was an urgent need for a new approach. To provide high quality care at a reasonable cost, Natalie launched VIP Day Centre in Worcestershire. People with dementia are given individual care with specialists brought in when needed. That was five years ago and today the company has two care centres and Natalie is looking to franchise the business. Congratulations to VIP Daycare Centre for improving standards of care and providing urgently needed dementia care services.

VIP Day Centre will be personalised to the needs of you the individual, integrated with local communities and dedicated to promoting the independence, well-being, dignity and peace of mind of all members.
